What Is Mahakal Lok?
Mahakal Lok is a 900-metre-long pilgrim corridor at Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 11 October 2022 under the ₹850 crore Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor project.
It replaces the earlier chaotic entry lane with a majestic sandstone walkway featuring 108 ornamental pillars, 200+ murals, and 108 statues depicting scenes from Lord Shiva's life — from Halahal poison-drinking to Tandava, Nataraja, and the Saptarishis.
